The Ionian Sea, seen from the Llogara Pass. In May 2024, construction work on a 6 km long tunnel had not yet been completed. This tunnel is intended to make this part of the coast more accessible to tourists. The tunnel is scheduled to open in 2025. The project, which envisages hundreds of luxury villas on the coast, is highly controversial in Albania
