In the region of the Meilogu exist so many Bronze Age towers that it is called the Valle dei Nuraghi. The most impressive of these nuraghi is the Nuraghe Santu Antine, locally known as Sa Domu de su Re (= House of the King).
Standing on top of Nuraghe Santu Antine´s central tower, many more nuraghes can be seen. Here is in the center the Nuraghe Oes, to the left Nuraghe Fraigas, both only about 500m apart from the Nuraghe Santu Antine.
But there are so many - check this map

In the region of the Meilogu exist so many Bronze Age towers that it is called the Valle dei Nuraghi. The most impressive of these about 30 nuraghi is the Nuraghe Santu Antine, locally known as Sa Domu de su Re (= House of the King).
The nuraghe has a central tower, that still is about 17 m high. It was probably nearly 24 m high, when the tower was erected around 1800 BC. Three towers positioned around the central one. The entire building a triangular shape with rounded angles.
All around the structure are the foundations of the bronze age village. Excavations proved, that some dwellings were still used in Roman times.

Seen from the central tower to the right is one of the three smaller towers (the ceiling is lost). All around the structure are the foundations of the bronze age village. Excavations proved, that some dwellings were still used in Roman times.

Entering the Nuraghe Santu Antine the visitor reaches a courtyard with a waterwell. Seven doorways can be seen, one of them leads into the central tower.
