Late afternoon in the village Jazeneuil (pop. 859). Already within the 6th century three chapels existed here. The buildings are mentioned, as the monks, doing the "translatio" of Saint Léger´s relics, stopped at these chapels. Saint-Jean-Baptiste, the church of today, was erected within the 12th century. Seen here is the western facade. Unfortunately the church was locked already.

Saint-Jean-Baptiste, the church of today, was erected within the 12th century, next to the river Vonne, that may look a bit like the river Jordan.
