With the support of many enthusiasts and volunteers Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux hosts the "Soul Funk Festival" ( formerliy known as "Soul Jazz Festival) already since 16 years. The stage is erected in front of marie in the center of the small town (pop 8700). The festival´s logo is screened onto the walls of the old cathedral´s apse during the warm summer nights. The New Mastersounds are a jazz/blues/funk band, founded end of the 90s in Leeds and meanwhile based in Denver. Eddie Roberts (guitar), Simon Allen (drums), Pete Shand (bass) and Joe Tatton (hammond) feel home in Saint Paul Trois Chateau, as far as I remember I saw them every year I visited the festival. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJM5BmwskAY
