The Chapel of St. Peter existed already within the 11th century, when it was in the care of the Abbey of Montmajour. It is built on the site of Roman buildings and some parts of that older structures got reused. A "hermitage" and a "hospital" were attached to the chapel once. This was the parish church of Alleins upto the 18th century. Here are some Roman spoliae, reused in the wall of the chapel.
