Since 1997 a large group of workers are building a 13th century castle, named "Château de Guédelon" in Treigny. The workers wear medieval costumes and only use hand tools, known in medieval times. It is planned to complete the castle in 2020. The construction site can be visited and meanwhile has developed to a major tourist attraction, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each summer. www.guedelon.fr/en/ Compared to that construction site, the Château de Ratilly, existing in the the same village since centuries, is a very quiet place.
