After the Café had closed down, the social spot in the very center of the village was converted into LE PENALTY. Of course it was still locked early morning.

Saint-George belonged to the cathedral chapter of nearby Soissons, when it was erected from the end of the 11th century on. The church got restored and rebuilt in the 19th century, but most of the corbels under the roof are still "in situ". I was surprised, to find an African warthog here, but this is probably the head of a European wild boar.

Saint-George belonged to the cathedral chapter of nearby Soissons, when it was erected from the end of the 11th century on. It can be easily seen from the hill, that the church was built on the floorplan of a Latin Cross. The black, wooden spire over the crossing was added during the 19th century.
