Eastleach was created in 1935 when the separate parishes of Eastleach Turville and Eastleach Martin were combined as a civil parish. The two villages of the parish - Eastleach Turville and Eastleach Martin -are separated only by the narrow River Leach. The Church of St Andrew at Eastleach (Turville) is neighbouring the St Michael and St Martin's Church on the other side of the River Leach. It was built in the 12th century.
