Going by ferry to Remagen on a late afternoon in December. The Rhine is pretty wide here. The small arch on the left is named "Rolandsbogen". This is the very last remain of the former castle "Rolandseck". This arch stood as a symbol for the Rhine romanticism of the 19th century. On the horizont the tower of Burg Drachenfels, as well ruined, can be seen.
