Brancion is a medieval hamlet, belonging to Martailly-lès-Brancion, built next to the former castle. The church "Saint-Pierre" was constructed in the 12th century. A simple romanesque structure, that never got changed. It did belong to Cluny in the beginning.

Brancion is a medieval hamlet, belonging to Martailly-lès-Brancion, built next to the former castle, which is now mainly in ruins (to be seen here is the well preserved part). The hamlet is "revitalized" and is a quiet, but very nice tourist attraction, that offers, as built on a knoll, nice views and interesting buildings.
