Already within the 10th century a priory existed here, dependent from famous Cluny. The single nave church of today dates probably to the 12th century, when the priory was depending from Saint Saturnin du Port in Pont-Saint-Esprit (30 km south west).

I have seen quite a lot of these "a vendre" signs. Behind every single given up shop is a tragedy. There may be many reasons. Rural exodus is a big problem for small villages. German discounters Lidl and Aldi have opened about 2500 supermarkets in France since 1988.

The chapel dates back to the 10th century and got altered and enlarged during the 12th. It got damaged during the French Revolution, but got rebuilt. The chapel is surrounded by vineyards and neighbouring a residential house is it looks like it is "private property".
