The Menir da Cabeça do Rochedo is a monument made from limestone, located just north of Lagos. Dating back to the early neolithic and has a spiral-like engraving that's faintly discernible. The Menhir was part of a group of eight other similar monuments, of which just one is still standing in its original location. The rest were taken for preservation.

The Menir de Odiáxere measuring about 2,00 m in height is located in the garden of Quinta Menir. This was the site of a prehistoric settlement going back to the Chalcolithic period.
