The Renault 6 was marketed by Renault from 1968 to 1986. The R6 was a kind of upmarket alternative to the R4 but entirely used the Renault 4's platform, initially including its small 845 cc engine, and was technically near-identical, but it was larger and more modern. Parked here is an R6 GTL from around 1980 with 44 kW (60 PS). This was the strongest model ever built.

When the Renault 6 was launched 1968 it was designed as a slightly larger addition to the Renault 4. In Spain, the Renault 6 was built in Valladolid. Production there only stopped in 1986 after around 328,000 vehicles had been built. From 1978 on, the most powerful version was the R6 GTL with 44 kW (60 hp), seen here.

Congratulation! The boulangerie Witz-Rohmer, just opposite the "Église Saints-Pierre-et-Paul" has celebrated it´s 400th birthday! Between 1961 and 1992 Renault produced about 8.000.000 "Renault 4" (aka "4L", "R4"). This forgotten beauty is now corroding in a garden in Arces.
