The parish church Saint-Jean-Baptiste was once a Collegiate church. It is known for it´s spectacular steeple. Barran, once founded as a "bastide", has a very nice market hall, perfect for a little rest.

I reached Auch in time, to see the Cathédrale Sainte-Marie and the wonderful carved gothic choir stalls. To see the choir was "gratuit", as there is no entrance fee for "pelerins" with a "credencial". After that, I relaxed and had two cold beers in a sidewalk café - just opposite the cathedral.
