Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is known by musicians as this is the place of the "Festival du Monastier" (aka "Festival de Cuivres"), a great meeting centered around "brass". 40 concerts - in 7 days!! KUNTA is a very rhytmic Hip Hop band with a strong brass section. The band claims to have the musical roots in Ethiopia - "Ethio Hip Hop" from Addis Abeba. A week in Carcassonne during the Festival enables the visitor, to navigate through oceans of different music. Here is R.can, a well known rapper from Perpignan ("rappeur perpignanais"), who had a great fan base in Carcassonne. He was very friendly posed for a photos and gave autographs after the show.
