It was realy hot. Temperature was now well above 35C over noontime. I was bored. No shadow at all. The steady rythm of walking plus high temperature over hours can end up in a kind of trance, in which strange ideas may cross the brain. Sunflowers were everywhere. Zillions of smiling sunflowers around me. I remembered a strange theory, claiming that sunflowers are the dolphins of the flora. Do they really have some strange, but somehow measurable intelligence? Is there a swarm-intelligence in these large fields? Are they able to communicate? I followed that idea over the next days ..... and found a surprising answer. P.S. The same theory says, that tulips are utterly stupid.
