The parish church Saint-André, here seen from the old graveyard, is placed on a little hill in the center of the village (pop. 300) - since more than 800 years. The church got renovated, when the late Gothic style was in full swing, what has left some marks.
The apse is unchanged and many wonderful corbels are under the roof. Most of them are in perfect condition. Here is a bearded person with bulging eyes. Bulging eyes can often be seen on medieval carvings.
"Is There a Doctor in the House?"
A doctor with knowledge in the history of medicine? Was the "Basedow-Graves disease" widely spread in medieval times? These bulging eyes can be a symptom of the disease, that can be caused by Iodine deficiency.

Nothing had changed since my last visit, only the grass had grown - and the light was much better this time.

The parish church Saint-André is placed on a little hill in the center of the village (pop. 300) - since more than 800 years. The church got renovated, when the late Gothic style was in full swing, but the nave is still simple and sober, like it always has been. This must have been always a very windy place. No windows are in the northern wall. All light comes in from the southern side.

The parish church Saint-André is placed on a little hill in the center of the village (pop. 300) - since more than 800 years. It is still surrounded by an old graveyard. The church got renovated, when the late Gothic style was in full swing, what has left some marks - especially on the western facade.

He is such a gifted musician. The soft music did never stir up the hornets' nest. All the insects love him.

Here are twins - on both sides.
