So! I've been driving my friend from Japan in to town all week so she could take part in the gospel singing workshop put on (in February) by the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival group. Last night was the gospel song concert culminating the workshop. The concert ended with the singing a rousing rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Water soluble oil pastels on Bristol vellum, 11 by 14 inches.

Yep, it must be Tuesday and time for the life sketching session at the North Pole Grange but… John, the Grange President, is going to be out of town for the next month. So! Since the sketch group is small, 5 or 6 artists, rather than heat the grange, we're having the sessions here at my house. Last night was the first try holding them here and it worked out.
