I've at least ninetyeleven things I really need to get done today but it's far more fun drawing! At one time I collected antique padlocks so here's one. pencil and colored pencil on 8 1/2 by 11 scrap paper

Yes, my very favorite -but it's been at least ten years since I've used it! You remember the first time you used a particular drawing implement and had everything turn out just right so you exclaimed to yourself; 'Wow! I didn't really know I could do that!' Well for me, back in the fifties, that was a crow's quill pen and sepia ink, I've kept one around ever since and, even unused, it's still my favorite. Done on highly acidic, low pH, scrap paper with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils -for when you don't care about posterity. :-)

I've done some more work on this with the crayons and also colored pencil.

At the last drawing session I was doing some blind sketches (looking only at the model while sketching, never down at the paper). I was rather pleased at how (relatively) balanced and proportional the sketches turned out in spite of that. pencil on 8 1/2/" X 11" sketch pad paper
