The Chena River at the edge of my property

The Chena River at the edge of my property Flood advisory: As of 1 pm Alaska Daylight Time...the upper Chena river gauge at the Granite tors campground is cresting at 21.9 feet which is 2.4 feet above the flood stage of 19.5 feet. This is the highest observed crest at the upper Chena river gauge since July 2003.

Along the Chena River. The Pump House, back in the day, was set up to pump water to the gold dredges working around Fairbanks. Today it's a restaurant.

The view from the north edge of my property.

The ponds. still water, are all iced over. the sloughs, slow water are mostly covered with ice and this, the Chena River at the edge of my property, is starting to ice up along the shores. It's snowing as I write this. Winter is here, I might as well enjoy it!
