Linda, an ice carving friend, came by the other day to do some plein air painting with us. She brought out this cute little ice flower that she carved. She usually works with bigger carvings (300 pound plus blocks of ice), but she does fine little things like this too.

Ice sculpture.

The ponds. still water, are all iced over. the sloughs, slow water are mostly covered with ice and this, the Chena River at the edge of my property, is starting to ice up along the shores. It's snowing as I write this. Winter is here, I might as well enjoy it!
