I was driving out the other day and had to come to a sudden stop. A wood duck, with no regard for vehicular traffic, was walking her 3 ducklings across the road to the slough. Watercolor on 12 by 12 inch colored stock

Well... I think I finished the owl picture I started back in mid-September. I'd caught sight of this young lady sitting in a birch tree at the edge of my yard during the summer. BTW: As of October 2009, this picture lives on Shikoku Island, Japan. Watercolor on 140 pound cold pressed, 9"X12"

Yep I caught the owl, on camera, at least. This owl has been buzzing my Jeep the last couple of days, but would be out of sight by the time I got my camera ready. Well tonight I walked close enough to get this shot!

At Creamer's field. The migratory birds have been using this field as a way stop, to fuel up and sort out the kinks in their formations, for over 40 years that I know of.
