Sketches becoming tinder for the wood stove thus making room for more sketches.

Just some old sketches, done with various mediums, that, for the fun of it, I tried wet mounting together on cardboard. The idea was interesting but the result is now in the box as fire starter for the wood stove.

This series of 5 pictures is from my first trip to Japan in 2001. This one was done with sumi (ink and brush) and colored today with water soluble pastel crayons.... Hence my reviewing (and sharing) these old sketches.

I was wandering the back streets around Zema and came across this gated house and yard. This still is not uncommon but, of course with urban development, not as common as they used to be. Ink and oil pastels.
