The doors for compartment five are now off for refurbishment, a long time since these were last opened, as they were de-hinged and screwed shut in 1927. The ironwork on this end of the coach are the controls for admitting steam to the heating. The necessary finned pipework system was removed long ago, so probably no heating since 1927.
