Looked around to see who was creeping up to him. He had been watching something - probably a bird - quite intently a few minutes prior. Very relaxed and sleek compared to the timid fella we first found in the garden last year.

He's finally found the front door useful and is intently watching something. [Partly because the steps are uneven, we don't use the front door much, if at all, and mostly just for ventilation. One of the jobs still outstanding is to rebuild these steps and incorporate a porch, which because of the heights involved is not as simple as it could be. There are a couple of other things with higher priority, though].

He's just come out from underneath the pampas grass, to watch a large beetle make it's way across the grass ...

Minstrel moved just as I clicked the shutter, after lying still for ages ... I strongly suspect that Ben had either stuck his nose on, licked or breathed out onto the cat's ear. Whatever had happened, Ben had picked his head up off the cushion ...

Just carried the little lawn mower back to the corner of the shed, and came back to put the table & chairs back under the tree. That will have to wait, the cat's snaffled the exact spot ...

Settled down for the evening after dinner snooze, in the 'pop-up' tent. He had been getting some strokes and ear scritches, resulting in the usual loud purrs. As the purrs got softer and slower, it was clear he was going to sleep.
