O&S(meme) - pants on fire

27 Jul 2023 80
Someone has taken the time to research claims made by Trump and determine their veracity for the period January 2017 to January 2021. Some were incorrect factually and others presented in such a way as to be misleading. The top histogram was produced by the Washington Post and calculated on a month by month basis. The lower histogram was produced by the Toronto Star and CNN, this was calculated weekly. Both are phenomenally high figures, even allowing for the well-known tendency of politicians to be economical with the truth. . Not my Image : fair use & public information

cvd - USA, cases + deaths, 23rd Dec 2021

01 Jan 2022 85
The waves in the USA have been rather different patterns to those in the UK and Europe. The role of the political divide has been very noticeable, particularly variable has been the relative take-up of vaccination in some areas of the States. The unvaccinated are especially vulnerable, compare the waves pre and post Dec2020 with those in the UK. . . Not my Image ; Fair Use & public information

cvd - USA states full dose vaccinations, 21st Dec…

The variation in percentages "fully vaccinated" is quite striking, with the prospect of an Omicron wave approaching, it is very worrying. Forecasting that there will be a high death toll could be one likely outcome. . . . Not my Image ; Fair Use & public information

American points of view over the covid pandemic have differed noticeably by political allegiance. This parody cartoon shows up the same subject. . . . Not my Image : Fair Use & public information

cvd - political victims of covid-19 [2 of 3]

01 Nov 2021 95
For some reason I do not understand, American's have divided their response to the covid-19 pandemic along party political lines. A large proportion of Trump supporters and some Republicans seem to have adopted an anti-covid, anti-mask, anti-vaxx and conspiracy theory supporting mindset. As opposed to the rational and scientific viewpoint. . . Not my Image : Fair Use & Public Information

cvd - USA case rates to 16th February 2021

06 Mar 2021 114
Covid case rate statistics for the USA. I really hope that the point about Trump's tw1tter ban and the drop in cases is not a real case of correlation, but is merely a coincidence. Not my image : Fair Use & public information

Slightly tongue-in-cheek thread of comments on the 2020 USA Presidential Election. From the reversed viewpoint of the African Nations telling the USA to behave, instead of the USA trying to be the global police force. Not my image / meme : fair use, comment & public education

Apparently, Trump tried to bully the Sec of State (Republican) to "find" him enough votes to win the electoral college seats for Georgia. [2020 USA Presidential election] Not my image / meme : fair use, comment & public education
