The waves in the USA have been rather different patterns to those in the UK and Europe. The role of the political divide has been very noticeable, particularly variable has been the relative take-up of vaccination in some areas of the States. The unvaccinated are especially vulnerable, compare the waves pre and post Dec2020 with those in the UK.
