5972 is the number carried by Oulton Hall aka "Hogwart's Express" [this ain't her, but as yet I've no idea whatever it is that is under the maroon paint ...] the carriages on her drawbar were fitted out with props from the Harry Potter universe / the Hogwart's Express, much to the delight of the two boys window hanging next to me !

A very mixed demonstration freight train in the siding at Keighley - the nearest waggon is a carrying several lengths of rail, although it isn't actually a rail bolster as such.

78022 has now "run round" and is back on the front of the train. She is a 2-6-0 BR class 2MT [ie - mixed traffic] built at Darlington in 1954. [current boiler ticket ends in 2028] livery is BR lined green with the early "cycling lion" emblem.

Under the canopy on platform 4 at Keighley, with the train almost ready to depart. That bench has really spindly legs, imo, compared to the usual railway company designs. The "mind the gap" warning is needed, especially on the curved section of the platform by the water tower.

Fascinating display in a corner of the waiting room at Keighley. Set up to show something of how the booking office might have looked. There is a rack of "Edmundson" card tickets and an old NCR cash register, the telephone on the left has some relevant audio clips ...

Turntable [Cowans, Sheldon, 1884] at Keighley was occupied by these two items of rolling stock ... The one on the left is a LNER 4-wheeler, and the one on the right is B 900916, to carry 25Tons ... Rail versions of low-loaders, you could say !

kwv - water tower

The large water tower at Keighley. [looks like a cast iron sectional tank - I'm guessing it is about 80 cubic yards capacity - but it may be a GRP replica, but that is still a lot of water ...]
