NSR23 - scumbled bulkhead

Bulkhead planks after being scumbled as "figured light/medium oak". Once this has cured, it will be varnished for protection as the scumble finish is quite soft compared to standard coach paints.

Scumbling the seat backs / interior partitions - held in a jig so both sides could be coated in one session. The plain strip is where the seat frame will be attached, so is not painted.

Mike scumbling the central bulkhead. This finish is relatively soft, so it will be varnished for protection, once it has dried sufficiently.

Having fitted all the body planking, the team are re-attaching all the external ironwork. There are still a few more jobs to do, but almost nearly finished.

An area of paint damage has allowed water penetration, and some delamination could be occuring. The teak colour is a scumble type finish, and it seems to be very vunerable to scratching.
