The modern lifeboat slipway has been added to the old ferry pier at [South] Queensferry. It is almost high tide, and a lot of Hawes Pier is underwater.

The Hawes Pier beacon, South Queensferry. [listed :- canmore.org.uk/site/90334/south-queensferry-hawes-pier-beacon ] Now almost surrounded by the modern lifeboat house & other buildings. IIRC Hawes Pier was the departure point for the ferry across the Firth.
