Built in 1909 by Bassett-Lowke; it retains many original parts. In 2016 the court imposed a custodial sentence of 10 years on the arsonist responsible for starting three fires on L'aal Ratty, including the one in the paint shop on December 4th 2012 which damaged Blacolvesley. This used to run the internal phone system, including the train control, some years ago. In one of the station building on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Not normally on public view. I understand that it is of German design and manufacture.

With her new, raised bonnet and darker green livery I had to take a second look to recognise "Doris" ...

Recent heavy rain had produced some flooding between Murthwaite and Muncaster Mill, just part of the waters in this image.

Used to trim the line-side vegetation. Last time I saw this it was in a yellow livery.

This little fellow rejoices in the name "Les" and is currently used as the workshop pilot. (built by RA Lister in 1960)
