End of the line - literally the red light on the buffer stop

Lamp on the external end of C.13. The "Pairs" were two of the original 1873 4-wheel carriages mounted on steel underframes, running on bogies. F68 was formed from A9 and C13, as their underframe dates from 1909, it is likely that this was the first "pairing". It was withdrawn in the 1970s and then sold to the Phyllis Rampton Trust. After restoration, and being put onto 2ft gauge bogies it is now on display at Aberystwyth.

That heavy lamp looks very similar to the ones found on level crossing gates, or buffer stops.

The wooden base and brass lamp mounting ring from NER70

At the back of the shop / booking office there are some lamps, which look a bit like "Anglepoise" but on steroids.

The "glass" dome for the lights, with brass retaining ring and varnished wooden pattress. This will contain an LED fitting pretending to be an oil lamp. Supplied by KCT.
