Melton Mowbray is famous for its pork pies & last week I attended a pie making experience in the town & now I'm really getting into pie making! Here's one just out of the oven. We made it yesterday and baked it this morning. When it's cold it just needs a couple of holes in the lid for the gelatin to go in. Leave it to set and it's ready to eat!

Wilton & New Park are lovely open spaces along the River Eye just off the town centre of Melton. This fine bandstand is still used for concerts but on the Sunday of our visit none were scheduled. Happy Bench Monday to everyone. Enjoy the start of the new week.
