Sadly, Chicago politics has long been corrupt, as evidenced by the current gubernatorial controversy. I think it no coincidence that "Cook" County is home to Chicago itself with prominent "Lake" county to the north... I doubt Blago - as he is called - will come out guns blazing like in this cover illustration by Emmett Watson for Frank Gruber's "Death Elects a Governor" - at least I hope not!!
