No new-fangled diving suits here - this outfit is more reminiscent of an earlier Jules Verne novel and bears little resemblance to some of the more fanciful gadgetry typical of other amateur mechanic magazines of the day.

Aquatic adventure was a popular genre in the 1960's, with television shows like "Sea Hunt" and "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea," in addition to a host of sea-faring comic heroes like Tower Comics' Undersea Agent, Davy Jones.
The "Undersea" acronym seemed a bit forced - United Nations Department of Experiment and Research Systems Established at Atlantis - but in a decade of rampant acronyms - SPECTRE, UNCLE, THRUSH, SHIELD, AIM, THUNDER, SPIDER, SWORD, WASP, etc. - I'm sure nobody cared. ;-)
Undersea Agent - Issue No. 3, June 1966.
