The glint of neon flickering off chrome and glass beckons, and you fatefully stroll into some random diner or coffee shop. You take your seat among a smattering of other nocturnal zombies at a seemingly endless slab of formica, and, lo and behold, you reach for a napkin and the Swami appears! Problem solved. This clever fortune-telling machine doubled as a napkin holder - a long-time product of the Shipman Manufacturing Company of Los Angeles, California. Circa 1950's.
