Lumb Spout is a local "beauty spot" near the village of Trawden in East Lancashire, England. It is popular with hikers and is a great place for a picnic in Summer. Photographed with a Sony RX100 camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

Photographed between Brierfield and Burnley in Lancashire, North-West England. I was actually trying to photograph some other horses (see next photo) in the same field but this one kept following me along the fence and obscuring my view of them.
Camera: Sony RX100.
Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

A Springtime view looking West across Lake Burwain (which is actually a reservoir) near the village of Foulridge in Pendle, Lancashire, UK. In summer this lake is usually full of boats and it's also a popular location for anglers and walkers. Camera Nikon D90. Processing Nikon Capture NX2.

Storm clouds over Pendle Hill in Lancashire, England. Photographed from Brierfield looking North-West. It was very windy and the trees were waving around a lot making it difficult to get them sharp. I only bought this camera the previous day so I wasn't familiar with the functions and controls. Photographed with my new "walkabout" camera, a Sony RX100 compact and processed with Nikon Capture NX2 and PicMonkey.

A hiker taking a well-earned rest on the summit of Middle Dodd after trekking up "The Struggle" from Ambleside and over the Kirkstone Pass.
This photograph, looking North, was taken with an Olympus Camedia C-1, my first digital camera, with a resolution of only 1.3 megapixels and a tiny 1 inch screen (I was very pleased with it....at the time). SEE NOTES.

The newly-planted (at the time) Lily pond on the Heslington campus of York University, England, UK. The buildings surrounding this area are some of the Halls of Residence (the most sought-after ones because of the great views).
Camera: Olympus Camedia C-1 (low resolution).

Pendle Hill. The diagonal line running from left to right is the most popular (and steepest) pathway to climb the hill, starting at the village of Barley. The summit, 1827 feet / 557 metres high is just out of view to the left.
Camera: Nikon D300s.
Lens: Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8
"Pendle, old Pendle, majestic, sublime
Thy praises shall ring till the end of all time
Thy beauty eternal, thy banner unfurled,
Thou dearest and grandest old hill in the world"
("Old Pendle". Milton and Allen Lambert).
