Downed

Just my luck! I am minding my own business, flying high over North America in my private orbital-craft that I acquired at a secondhand aircraft shop, and . . . Kaboom!! Down I go, thanks to a fighter jet’s missile. It isn’t safe these days flying around the globe . . . 1960 Messerschmitt KR200

From 1955 to 1964, Messerschmitt built 40,000 KR200 Kabinenroller three-wheeled microcars, which were designed by German aeronautical engineer Fritz Fend. Their single-cylinder 10-horsepower engine would have normally made them slow cars, but their lightweight streamlined design gave them a top speed of almost 90 miles per hour. This black 1960 De Luxe version is displayed at the Science Museum in London. 1961 BMW Isetta 300

Though the Isetta "bubble car" was designed by the Italian company Iso, most Isettas were built by BMW, which improved its performance and made it the first mass-production car to burn only three liters of fuel every hundred kilometers. In Britain, the three-wheeled Isetta was the most popular version as, under British law, it could be driven with a motorcycle license rather than an automobile license. This 1961 BMW Isetta 300 is displayed at the Science Museum in London.
