Braving the cold

A VERY fluffed-up House Sparrow, photographed just over two years ago on a bitterly cold day! How different from the more usual sleek look.
"It was first introduced into North America at Brooklyn, New York in 1850 and in Canada at Quebec City in 1858. In Alberta, it was first recorded at Red Deer in 1898, about the same time it arrived on the US west coast." From talkaboutwildlife.

Lowly, but handsome, House Sparrow

Another of my cold House Sparrow images that I took mid-March 2008. He sure looks different from his usual sleek self, all puffed up on a bitterly cold day.
