Autumn in Waddesdon Manor

On 1 October I was walking towards the Manor and could see in the grass just below the Parterre what I thought might be Snowdrops. But, then I thought "Surely Snowdrops are a first sign of Spring?" :-)
According to the Waddesdon Manor Facebook pages these are Colchicums more commonly known as Autumn Crocuses.
CORRECTION
Have spoken to gardeners at Waddesdon Manor and these should simply be referred to as Colchicum :-)

For 'Sight and Sound' "Bring My Flowers Now" by Tanya Tucker came to mind.

Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-)))
Another shot of 'D80104' so that I can use an obscure link for 'Sight and Sound'. And, even by my standards, this link is pretty obscure :-))
The song "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", written by Robbie Roberson, talks of the Danville train.
This is not the Danville train but it is a train. The original of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" by The Band is one of my absolute all-time fave tracks but I do very, very much like Tanya Tucker's version :-))
Somewhere I still have one of those VHS Video tape thingies with this concert on it and I seem to remember it was from 'Church Street Station' but, I stand to be corrected :-))
