A broad but shallow natural lake straddling the California-Oregon line. It had dried up completely in the drought (inset, taken April 2014), but has recovered somewhat this last season, altho it's still not full. Looking northwesterly. The inset isn't from the exact same position, but at least it gives the flavor.

Or rather, what's left of it. It's been hard-hit by the drought, too. The lake is natural and straddles the California-Oregon line, off US 395 in extreme northeastern California. The now-usual disclaimer about approximate location--
