Moved forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: YOUR MOST POPULAR VINTAGE PHOTO - Post one of your most viewed or liked vintage photos that you haven't previously added to the Vintage Photos Theme Park.
She has a very sweet face, but I'm not quite sure why she has received so many views.
Her "pudding basin hat" was popular around 1910, although her suit looks a little later than that, to me.
Purchased at Kennedy Brothers antique store in Vergennes, Vermont.
Stamped on the back - Berkshire Studio, North Adams, Mass.

Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: Canes, Batons, Spears, etc.
Somewhere in my house is a snapshot of a majorette with a baton, but I searched fruitlessly - so here's my already posted photo. (And a terrible scan. I'll re-do someday.)
This is a cabinet card from my collection of Vintage First Communion photos. The young girl is holding an elaborate candle holder as part of her costume. In the other hand she is holding a book - probably a bible.
There's something about this that looks Scandinavian but that's certainly only an impression.
I purchased this in Maine years ago, in an antique store.
On the back the print says:
Ad. Esselborn
Successor to H. Meez
Photographer
183 Essex Street
Corner Houston Street
New York

That's what this picture always made me think of - maybe it looks like the real Alice that Lewis Carroll wrote for and I'm remembering that.
Found somewhere in Vermont. No identifying information.
