The youngest son of Robert William Major and Millicent Colchester. My great grandmother, Jane Major, was Robert's sister. This is a photo of him marrying Emma Morris.

Jane Major is my Great Great Grandmother. She was born in Buxhall, Suffolk in November 1819 and she died in Stowmarket, Suffolk in Jan - March 1912 at the age of 93.(Free BMD says she was 96.) in a poorhouse - although I think she had worked there when younger. She was the daughter of Henry Double and Susan Purr also of Buxhall, Suffolk. She married William Major and they had 4 children one of whom was my great grandmother also called Jane born in 1853.
