See comments following this one, for story. This is a photo of Reg Murray, my mother's friend, who was stationed in Plymouth, as she was, for awhile during the war. (Reg is the one on the left.) He was from a town near Liverpool. called widnes. This was taken in January 1946. His sister contacted my mother not long after this, to tell her that he had died of TB, which my mother tells me was rampant during the war.

Brian's Dad came to the U.S. as a baby and had not got American citizenship by 1940, so to enroll in the navy and fight he went to Canada and joined the Royal Canadian Navy. He was stationed in Halifax. He is the one in the middle.
