See comments following this one, for story. This is a photo of Reg Murray, my mother's friend, who was stationed in Plymouth, as she was, for awhile during the war. (Reg is the one on the left.) He was from a town near Liverpool. called Widnes. This was taken in January 1946. His sister contacted my mother not long after this, to tell her that he had died of TB, which my mother tells me was rampant during the war.
