Arthur was engaged to marry Anna Nolan but died in 1918 in the War in France. Ten years later Anna married his oldest brother William who had been left a widower with three children when his wife died from asthma-induced pnuemonia. His youngest child - my mother - was four when they married and Anna became my dearly loved Nana. Some new information from his granddaughter Laura confirming Arthur as a 16th Lancer. Both he and his young brother George (I will post his picture soon) were killed within a month of each other.
