This is an illustration from a well loved childhood book of mine. This book was made and printed in Italy by Fratelli Fabbri Editori, Milan for English publishers and then published in Australia. The illustrator is Cremonini. It was given to me as a birthday present when I lived in Rayleigh, Essex but I don't remember who gave it to me. Possibly my aunt. I loved it.

In true Brothers Grimm fairy tale fashion, this lovely picture depicts the good queen showing the youngest brother twelve coffins that her husband has had built to put him and all his brothers in once they have been successfully murdered.
