Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park monthly topic of: ANGER My husband's father being scolded by his father, c.1924. It appears that these photos were a favorite - see below. Poor Ronnie - who wants to be photographed when they're seething?

My husband's paternal grandfather in the early 1920s. Lancashire, England.

c1918? Harry was born in 1895, and was in the war. He looks younger here than I had previously thought.

This is on glass. It seems different than a daguerreotype though. I don't know what the purple lines are. My husband's father's father.

Taken in Ulverston.On the back it says Jones Bros. Dragley Beck Lane (great street name!) Ulverston I'm guessing he's 5 in this picture making it 1900.

My husband's grandfather. Probably taken in Ulverston. This is a large portrait, about 61/4 by 81/2.

Harry's mother Mary King to his right and Agnes' mother Catherine (Adams) Forsyth to her left. They were married in Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire, England, Harry's birthplace, although Agnes was from Greenock, Scotland. I believe the minister had the wonderful name of "Cuthbert Agnes, in her late nineties, told me the bridesmaids were cousins, I'm pretty sure I remember her saying "Harry's cousin - she was a pretty girl." She didn't remember their names. I think the young girl on the left is probably Harry's cousin, Kathleen Pearson King, born 1906. (See her photo under King Family set.) This was taken in Barrow-in-Furness. The year is correct - the month and day are an approximation. I'll correct them when I find out the real dates. It was sometime in July - September 1921.
