My Grandmother's China

My Nana used to go to Estate sales in the 1930s and this is where she got her "good china."
I think it dates from the late 1800s. It's Alfred Meakin Ltd and it's called "Patricia" and also says "Royal Ivory Semi-Porcelain" on the back.
After my Nana died my mother inherited it and said I could have it but it was in England and at the time my uncle said it was too costly to ship.
Much later we decided to do it anyway. My uncle contracted with a [horrible] man who told him it would all be packed professionally, pocketed the money and threw the whole set in the newpaper and funky cardboard box it had been stored in - then dropped it off at the airport.
Weeks later it arrived in Vermont and when I opened it (puzzled by the falling apart box) I started to take out little bits (mosaics) of the set. Very sad.
Miraculously though, a lot of it - in fact most of it - survived. And most of what was lost was the inessentials like gravy boats and sugar bowls.
So we use it for all our holiday meals. I love it.
I've never seen other pieces of it anywhere. I'd love to know if anyone out there ever has.
