Built in 1864 in France for the Confederate States Navy, but the sale was prohibited by emperor Napoleon III. It was sold instead to the Prussian Navy. It was a ram ship, but it saw little action. It was discovered that the wood had rotted, so the ship was removed from service in 1871 and scrapped in 1878. The Dom Fernando II e Glória was launched in 1843. It was the last sailing warship to be built for the Portuguese Navy. It remained in service until 1878, It served on the regular run to the Portuguese colonies in India. It was partly destroyed in 1963 by a fire, its burnt hull was in the River Tagus until 1990, when it was restored.

Originally mountain dew was/is a slang term for moonshine (homemade whiskey), but in the 1940s the name was used for a soft drink. Now it is owned by PepsiCo. It mostly consists of carbonated water and sugar or – in the USA – high-fructose corn syrup. In the USA it also contains brominated vegetable oil, an ingredient banned in the EU for health reasons.
